Mondays from 5:30 – 6:30 PM Teacher: Steffan Bomberger Jump into scenes and songs from your favorite stories! Drawing from the stories of Dr. Seuss and his contemporaries, as well as other familiar sources, to give your student the chance to sing, act, dance, and PERFORM their way through the colder months!

Tuesdays from 6:00 -7:00 PM Teacher: Debra Macut   In this winter's Character Creation class, students will learn how to step outside themselves to create big and bold characters. Students will explore who else they can be using improv exercises, costume pieces, and physical exercises. This class ends with a sharing for an invited audience.   Our Winter class session begins on January 10th and runs through March 19th.

In this six-week class, you’ll learn all you need to know to nail your next audition! Receive valuable feedback to greatly enhance your audition technique, song and monologue selection, typical musical theatre casting process, the college application process, audition wardrobe, and follow-up etiquette. Whether you’re interested in auditioning for your school musical, a local community theatre production, or you’re preparing your college audition material, “Nailed It” is the class for you!  TOPICS COVERED: •Learning to choose an audition cut that shows off your voice (you can also bring in materials you’re already working on)! •Preparing an audition binder, marking your music, and communicating with your accompanist •Choosing a monologue •Audition etiquette •How to present yourself at an audition Contact us if you have any questions at info@popovskyperformingarts.com

Tuesdays 8:00-9:00 PM beginning January 11th Teacher: Steffan Bomberger Many singers spend years learning to sing by ear and are never given the opportunity to develop their music-reading and theory skills! Join us in this class designed to bring you up to speed! Learn to read rhythms and notes on the staff, where notes are located on a piano keyboard, and how to read your parts in sheet music. We'll also explore the basics of scales, tonalities, modes, chord progressions, and the WHYs behind the ways music sounds!
