Triple Threat Intensive Camp for 1st-5th Grade

June 27-30

CAMP HOURS: 10am-4pm @ Popovsky Performing Arts, 245 Butler Ave, Lancaster PA 17601

Mon 6/27 | Tues 6/28 | Wed 6/29 | Thurs 6/30

This camp is open to ALL students entering 1st-5th grade! Our fun, educational, enriching summer camp programs focus on guiding performers as they develop skills, gain confidence, and build community. Students’ creativity is nurtured by building a strong foundation in acting, singing, and dance. Performers of all experience levels are given opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed on stage AND in the classroom. People of every race, gender identity, sexual orientation, faith, and nationality are welcome and safe at PPAS, and we happily welcome neurodiverse students.

What does it take to stage a musical number? Through collaboration with instructors and other students, campers will explore what it takes to stage musical numbers. Students will have the opportunity to create interesting characters, make bold choices, and learn healthy singing techniques. Students will also acquire new dance skills, and strengthen their acting skills through theatre games, story circles, and role-playing. Students will have the opportunity to explore what it takes to be a triple threat performer— acting, singing, and dancing at the same time.

Camp Staff is made up of a combination of PPAS teachers and professionals, with assistance from college students. All camp instructors are chosen carefully and selected for their experience with guiding and motivating young performers and their experience on stage themselves. All camp staff must pass background checks as required in all educational environments in Pennsylvania and have completed specialized training to be part of our staff. All staff is fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Up-to-date and additional details will be provided closer to the start of the camp.
