Camp Options for Summer 2025

Two-Week Production Camps

Popovsky Performing Arts’ two-week Production Camps guide young performers through the entire theatrical process, from audition preparation to a fully staged performance in just two weeks. Campers work together with teaching artists, choreographers, and music directors to learn 30- or 60-minute adaptations of popular Broadway, Disney, or children’s literature favorites, complete with microphones, stage lights, costumes, props, and sets. These camps offer an immersive experience, teaching the fundamentals of acting, singing, and dancing while building teamwork, confidence, and performance skills. Every session culminates in two final performances on the last day of camp, giving campers multiple opportunities to showcase their hard work and creativity on a professional stage.

One-Week Theatre Camps

Popovsky Performing Arts’ One Week Camps focus on building specific performance skills in a fun, intensive, and engaging environment. These one-week camps are perfect for performers who want to refine their craft, whether it’s honing audition techniques, mastering a particular discipline, or exploring behind-the-scenes theater operations. With personalized guidance from expert instructors, campers can enhance their abilities while gaining insight into the performing arts. Skills Camps are ideal for students looking for a shorter time commitment without compromising on enrichment and growth.

Whether a one-week or two-week camp, exploring audition techniques, behind-the-scenes theatre insights, or a performance experience, all PPAS camps are thoughtfully designed to be intensive, playful, and enriching.

  • 6th-12th Grade Camp Performances: performances will begin at 2:00PM and 6:00PM
Since there are changes to our program layout this year, performance times may change once the season has begun. We will keep you updated!

Why Two Performances?

Performing in a musical takes a tremendous amount of work—memorizing lines, choreography, and blocking, plus HOURS of rehearsal and learning to work as a team. After all that effort, having two shows gives campers:

  • Two chances to showcase their hard work.
  • Two audiences to celebrate their success.
  • A little bit longer to enjoy the fruits of their labor and the magic of performing!

Due to the collaborative nature of musicals, campers are required to participate in both performances for their enrolled session.

Meet the Team Behind the Scenes:

Our camps are overseen by PPAS owners Christyn Rutter and Michael Popovsky as well as returning on-site Camp Director Becca Snyder, with support from Studio Manager Megan Charlesworth.

Our teaching team includes a blend of PPAS teachers, seasoned performers, and theatre and education professionals. For our rising 1st-5th grade camps, we also engage high school interns, creating a diverse and supportive environment.

Each Teaching Artist is carefully selected for their expertise in motivating and guiding young performers, alongside their experience in theater and the performing arts. Rest assured, all staff members undergo thorough background checks and specialized training to ensure the safety, well-being, and success of your child.

Make this summer unforgettable with Popovsky Performing Arts Studio—where your child’s creativity, passion, and potential come to life!
